No Putting Down Roots

No Putting Down Roots

Only used for about 20 years, the now abandoned neighborhood for the guards families at decommissioned Boron AFS and Prison, never really had a chance to establish itself.  Lost in a bleak and rocky corner of the Mojave Desert, miles from nowhere, windswept and deathly quiet . . . there’s no experience quite like being in a place like this, alone, at night. I opened the lens, walked through the scene adding red and green light from about 14 different directions, walked back to the camera and closed the lens: 249 seconds.  Full moon too.
