The third floor northeast corner office of Bethlehem Shipyard complex, the nicest office in the building. It overlooks the yard and cranes . . . and downtown San Francisco. This was a magnate's office.

On the north side of Fort Ord Army Base in Monterey, California is a huge tract of abandoned housing where hundreds of homes stand open to the elements. Salvagers and vandals have dragged everything left inside the buildings into the streets.
