A Chemical Hotspot
Inside the assayers office at Atolia tungsten mine, abandoned since the ’60s. Judging by the ventilated booths on the left, a dirty chemical process was done in this room. Red, pale blue and green Protomachines flashlight.

Slowly Losing the Roof
An experiment in overlapped and blended lighting, this was done with the Protomachines HSB flashlight. Red-orange, purple and lime light from several directions. One of the slowly collapsing buildings at the abandoned Atolia Mine in California’s Mojave Desert last July. 198 second exposure, full moon light on the exterior.
Undercut by Time
Collapsing structures at the Atolia Mine, near Randsburg California. Abandoned for 50 years, the site has really taken a beating recently. Last time I was through here about 10 years ago, this building, and several others, were still standing. 4-minute exposure, pure full moon-light.
