One night workshop at Cypress Lawn

Last year I agreed to co-host a one-night photography workshop with Jon Haeber at Cypress Lawn cemetery in Colma this coming June. My payment: unlimited, private, night-shooting access, from the management at the most prestigious San Francisco cemetery (and yes, it’s impossible to sneak into: speaking from experience, the place is jammed with alarms and sensors, and the Colma PD is seconds away, just itching to catch trespassers). The place is exceptional, packed with massive mausoleums and statuary carved with famous early SF names like Hearst, Spreckles and DeYoung, as well as hundreds of smaller, quirky, turn of the 20th century monuments.

So, if you want to see the dog and pony show, and shoot here with me (and Haeber and Scott Haefner) for a night on June 18th (waxing full moon, possible fog too), it’s $90, which goes to the Haeber-helmed California Preservation Foundation, you should sign up right away. All the details and info you need to sign on is right here.
