Always Looking North ::::: 1922 Seagrave Fire Truck ::::: Pearsonville Junkyard
Still sitting on a few images from the abandoned Pearsonville junkyard along highway 395 in Eastern California. This 1922 Seagrave hook-and-ladder fire truck on the racetrack infield was shot during the “Farewell to Pearsonville” workshop, March 2011. Most of this sprawling junkyard was crushed and liquidated and the remainder, consolidated behind a strong new fence.
This was a 4 minute exposure–under full moon and encroaching winter storms. There’s no aded light used here, just moonlight. I let this image burn in while the dozen of us that were there that night did a champagne toast, just behind the camera.
