The Highway: A Lost Culture ::::: Cartago Cafe, 2007

I have 12 large prints in a new show with Joe Reifer opening this week called “The Highway: A Lost Culture”at the The Rasdale Gallery, University of Kentucky.  Coooool.

The opening is this thursday, March 29th at 6 PM.  The show runs from March 29th through April 19th.  If you’re in the Lexington area, the prints look really great, check it out!

From the press release: To celebrate the lost roadside culture of the highway, two California-based artists, Joe Reifer and Troy Paiva use night photography to capture what remains of this lost culture. During the exhibition and catered reception, UK students and faculty will be able to see work capturing ghost towns, industrial ruins, desert junkyards, and abandoned military bases. See what these artists create from the ruins of a cultural era.

Many thanks to the University of Kentucky for putting the show together!
